Fire Authority

The Stanislaus County Regional Fire Authority represents the interests and concerns of each individual fire agency as it relates to the Fire Authority and the services provided by the Less Than County Wide Fire Tax. The responsibilities of the Fire Authority include:

• Election of Fire Authority officers
• Oversight of Fire Authority expenditures
• Identify issues to be addressed
• Define critical issues and services
• Develop a Business Plan
• Steward Fire Authority property; asset preservation
• Develop policies
• Ensure that Fire Authority business is conducted in accordance with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations and codes
